I mentioned in my previous post that I don't part with my money easily. So with that in mind I've been advertising for free and getting some surprising results. Who would have thought free advertising can actually work.

The promotional tools and videos in the members section are the reason I am here typing this. They actually got me started because they show how easy it can be to promote for free. And it's not difficult at all. In fact I thoroughly enjoy it. It's a great hobby making money from home.
Anyway back to the reason for todays post. While googling for more options to promote my site I stumbled upon ClickBank. I didn't realise how good this resource is. Have you seen the opportunities available. It's staggering. There are thousands of products you can resell and get 70% commission. I'm having some of that. Do not go to ClickBank yet though. Not until you have read the next bit.
After a lot more googling I stumbled upon another site which explained how to get to the top of google search results for free. I put my hand on my heart and say to you “Please check it out”. It's really good. It's one of those things which you stumble upon from time to time which excites you and opens your eyes to endless possibilities. It's free so it fits my philosophy.
I gave them my email address and got a reply which gave me a link to the juicy info. I have received no additional emails from them. There is no catch at all. I get nothing from directing you to this site. It is simply free information I am passing on in the hope that you may one day trust my judgement.

A couple of quick tips:
-Create a few googlemail accounts for your advertising. Eg set up one for posting adverts and one for posting ezine articles etc. This should help to keep your emails more manageable. I have set up forwarding so I receive all my emails in my main email client (Mozilla Thunderbird if you're interested).
-Create sub folders in your inbox too. One for user details, one for ads posted, one for receipts etc....

I mentioned earlier that I've received no follow up emails from www.bummarketingmethod.com. Today I received one. It wasn't bad advice if I'm honest but that's not the point. I just thought I should tell you that you will get a follow up email. Don't worry about it though. It's good advice and there's an unsubscribe link provided.

How to start making money online. A beginners perspective.
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
If you are thinking about starting an online business I completely understand how you feel. It is an absolute nightmare for the beginner. We’ve all been there and asked ourselves the same questions.
Where do I start? What can I sell? and Who can I trust?
Over the years I have researched, researched and researched some more for the best online business. I wanted to make money online but my biggest problem was getting started. The choices are so wide and varied I was simply spoilt for choice. There were so many “opportunities” to choose from but I still did not start for three reasons.
1 - Every opportunity sounds the same (Give us your money and get rich)
2 - I’m a cheapskate who won’t part with his money easily
3 - I don’t want to get scammed
So how did I start? I was forced into it. My wife fell pregnant and we were about to lose her wage. To make matters worse she earns more money than me. It was the kick up the backside I needed.
Back to google I went and searched like crazy. I didn’t know what I wanted to sell online, how to do it or who to trust. I eventually stumbled on a program which felt right for me. This led me to lots of videos on youtube which all promised the same thing without giving too much away. I was getting skeptical again.
I went back to google and gathered the email addresses of people who were promising to be a mentor to beginners like me. I sent various questions to these “mentors” and waited. Some replied very quickly, some replied eventually and some never replied. I was filtering my list of trustworthy sources. I noticed a few of the replies were standard sales letters saying “Thank you for your questions blah blah blah please check my website for your answers”. These were no help at all because I was directed to a page which answered none of my questions.
After all the emails I sent I found one person who actually took the time and effort to answer my questions and help me. He was starting to get my trust. A few emails later and he recommended a particular website to me. I checked it out and done some research on both the site and my “mentor”. I found nothing to suggest this was a scam. I was sold. At last, after all these years I have found someone I can trust and a legitimate business.
The best advice I can give to anyone who wants to start to make money online is:
- Do your research and choose something which is right for you. If you do not understand or enjoy your venture you will fail.
- Be proactive and get off your backside. Every day missed is more money lost.
- Find someone you can trust. Send them emails and use google to find out as much as you can.
To me the most important factor was finding someone I can trust. This was the main reason I decided to part with my hard earned cash. This one person helped me get started and provided a product I could sell and it all began by sending some emails. If only I had done this earlier.
